About us

We are a church family made up of people from different backgrounds and different age groups who are united by our love for Jesus Christ and our commitment to living for him. We welcome you to join us.

United by
our love for Jesus.

Our aim is to encourage one another to grow as disciples (followers) of Jesus and to actively pursue the mission Jesus has left us to make new disciples in our own city and around the world.

As a Presbyterian church our history goes back to 'The Reformation' of the 16th century when Christians reaffirmed the great news that we are saved by grace alone, we respond by faith alone, our leader and mediator is Christ alone, we are guided by Scripture alone and the glory goes to God alone.

While our church has a rich history our key focus is not on the past, but on living for God today and into the future. We're convinced that the Bible is God's word and that it is the only place to turn if we want to meet Jesus, have our relationship with God restored, and learn how we were created to live.

Hear, Live and Share.

We sum up our mission today with the words Hear, Live and Share.

Hear

We seek to grow in an ever deeper knowledge and understanding of God's word which is more precious than gold, sweeter than honey and tells us of God's plans which have been fulfilled in Jesus Christ.

(Psalm 1:2-3, 19:9-10, Hebrews 1:1-3, Colossians 3:16, 1 Timothy 3:16)

Live

We seek to put God's word into practice through thoughts, words and deeds that demonstrate our growing love for God and our neighbours.

(James 1:22-27, Ephesians 4:1-3, Colossians 1:9-12)
